Three Headed Kitten

This song was written in late 09/early ‘10 by combining part of the guitar loop from “Miracles Come True,” (from the album PARADISES) with the oft-sampled drum intro from Sonic Youth’s “Schizophrenia.” The song is about sharing an old house with various tenants; alive, dead, and imagined. It is the first installment in a series of free web singles, featuring original artwork by the unparalleled Philip Spradley.

I was cleaning my room the other day when I opened a box containing several leftover PARADISES cassettes! Only twenty-five of these lil’ tykes were made, and almost four years later, I still have SIX left, which shows how popular Nomen Novum truly is! These come nestled in hand-cut and sewn durian-shaped sleeves made by Leigh Cooper, complete with double-sided full color inserts + still functional download “codes.” Since there are only six of these rascals, if you’d like to order one just email me at david@nomennovum.net and we will make that happen.

PARADISES is also very much still available on vinyl HERE
and digitally until the end of time HERE

I wrote a new song for a mixtape by this nice French website, listen + download for free here!

Here are the (new) records I enjoyed most this year. They’re not in any order and I’m sure I’m forgetting some.
